Drive it day
« on: April 26, 2020, 07:27:53 pm »
As it's drive it day today I've topped up the oils been to supermarket then had a short evening drive to take dogs for walk down the localish canal.

It's back to being work transport tomorrow.

Anyone else get out for a short drive today for Drive it Day?

Missed it. Been on the drive though.
All the right bits, but not necessarily in the right order.

My gearbox is out until work opens so I can nick the crane, so I've not been able to drive it.

No need for a crane just ratchet straps and split the box from transfer box.

Woolen:  We took it out with a scaff bar and it was a right ballache.
I'm not **** about taking it apart, (or buying a roofrack...) it's ready to go in and I can wait a bit longer, I've got nowhere to rush off to anyway....

Hi Kev to be honest my first one I removed with a scaff bar on the doors but every time since I've just split the transfer box from the gearbox as it's quite easy to do and I can lift each on my own. The photo is from replacing the clutch at leafers a couple of years ago so I just needed to remove the overdrive and move the boxes back enough for the new clutch to go in.
