Done nothing.
« on: March 24, 2020, 04:56:47 pm »
I've done nothing to the Leafer.
Just used it now and then over the winter period for taking the dogs out and occasionally for going to and from work.
Just waiting on the virus to bugger off, but in the meantime, I need to at least give it a service.

I recon you'll have time to do a nut and bolt, one handed in pitch darkness before C19 has finished with us.  wdesmle

I've not done anything with the Landy for a few weeks now. Not even had her out for a run.
Work has gone very slow now after a mad rush where we were busier than ever.
I'm having to have time off now, so I have been up in my Biodiesel Shed making more Biodiesel and storing it for later use.
Also been modifying my system so oil moves around the shed better.
Looks like I really need to do something to the Series before it gets rooted to the spot.

Begining of the week washed the top side and pressure washed underneath.
Cleared out the back and started to fit som chequer plate in there. Patched all holes in the tub first, seemedto have a lot of holes drilled in the floor for some reason.

Ran out of 5mm rivets as they next lot were due on friday but havent arrived.

Today I have done oil, air & fuel filters, and oil change.

While draining the oil noticed there is still a lot of mud dried still under there and requires a lot more cleaning.

Still got a lot to do but may find getting more parts an issue for a couple of weeks.

I keep thinking about changing the seals on the diff sump plugs to try and stop Buddy dripping oil.

My gearbox is now in, just need to make an exhaust before the floor goes back in as it's easier.

Spend a good few hours removing the seats I’d installed in the front of my series 2 (from a smart for 2 car), as the purchaser wants the square seat squabs not comfort.   I had forgotten how much bracing and stuff I’d put under the seatbox to give the new seats some rigidity.  Oh well.  He is back to stock now, and Luna the Series 2 is going to a new home  vcan
