Camping in Salibsury
« on: September 02, 2020, 05:37:18 pm »
For bank hols this year, Chloe and I went camping to the Novichok capital of the UK, i.e. Salisbury.
Nice and cheap with the Camping and Caravan club site, the site at Old Sarum was quite regimented and well laid out (and quiet!), it looked more like a motorhome shop than a camp site LOL.

No toilets or showers at the site due to CoronaVirus19-I-chok so we just used the free public toilets on the top of the hill!

weird

Also tried out my latest Gumtree bargain, a towball mounted bike carrier. Very stable with an additional two straps attached to the tailgate pin things.

We also saw Stone Henge for free after searhcing advice on TripAdvisor!

Cheers  :Dancing-Chilli1group:

i hope my pictures aren't too large.

There was a plain invasion event on last weekend.

Another in May, hopefully.

I plan to go in May.
All the right bits, but not necessarily in the right order.

We should have been staying near the plain and laning a few months back, hotel booked and everything. - Then along came the pox, and it all fell through... FRSsml

Maybe next year.

If you ever fancy a look out on the plain I could arrange a few lanes possibly with a local guide as that was my old stomping ground

As I live 1/2 a mile from the plain, I'll be up for a pootle about if I have a working vehicle by then.
You can do anything you want to do, just as long as you don't want to do it with me!.
