Not had chance to touch Tet since before Christmas and one job I didn't post that did was fitting the vacuum pump from a 2.5 n/a to the Santana engine. As it was also made as a petrol engine there is still the drive etc for a dizzy in place, as there is on the standard 2.25 and 2.5 4 pot engines, so I figured a vacuum pump from a n/a engine should fit.
Looking inside under the blanking plate we can see the drive in place.

As on the 4 pot engine the oil filter housing needed to come out to gain access to the grub retaining screw.

Old drive gear and new drive gear (from a sherpa 2.5 engine) with the coupling to work the pump.

Dropped into place and grub screw refitted.

New gaskets on the oil filter housing and the pump, turned engine by hand to make sure it all still turns ok and job done  wdesmle

Can I combine 24 volts, 9.00's and an Tdi!!!!
