Looks good mate! If you unpick those seat covers and bung em in a washing machine a couple of times they should come up a treat!

What's with the shut off valve coming from the fuel filter  WHTF

Anti theft? or stop the fuel running back.

Ive got a Vax carpet shampooer that i'm going to give them a go with Mark ...Though the fly in the ointment is that the second row ones won't tip properly up against the fronts (Might be because they are deluxe ones ???
I've even removed the head rests and its not completely cured it .

IF they clean up ok i might ebay them and look for some standard ones IF those will fold properly.

Richard the shut off valve was fitted to prevent fuel draining back into the tank from the second fuel filter the PO fitted as he was running it on old oil (HGV fitter so he has an endless supply)

I intend to remove the secondary filter as soon as i have depleted the 3/4 full tank that it's got . wdesmle

A splendid acquisition, I am more than a mite envious. A diesel 109 safari is right up there in the leafer stakes.

I already love it Kev ...Yehh it's got issues (Mainly Series 3 bodywork with S2a running gear and bulkhead ...so not a rivet counters dream ...)
BUT it's looking like it will be pretty useful as a camping barge and hopefully the 19j won't be too dire or thirsty ...

To be honest I'm chuffed to bits ...for the price i paid  wdesmle

I've still got the standard rear seats I took out of mine to improve legroom etc. Think they should be ok still if you want them.

I think Glyn has some tweed second row seats of the 'standard' flavour of squab.... might be worth asking him Ian?

Cheers for the heads up Calum ...I'll have an ask

I can only imagine that it's the deluxe seats that are the issue as the back rest doesnt sit flat when tipped forward ???

Sounds more than likely!

Top purchase by the way. You'd have regretted turning this one down!

standard ones in mine - and they fold up nicely - but are tight

you are correct - the deluxe ones will not fold due to the size of the backs - kept mine standard so when folded down they make a pillow rest when out and about - double air mattress fits in perfect
just exactly how much of your time did you waste reading this pointless signature ?

I collected it from Burton on trent... So it's possibly not moved too much... Chap I bought it off had owned it for last 5 years or so then his Mum before that for about ten or so years .
The station wagon body has a different reg number etched into the glass ( that number ceased to be known to the DVLA in 2002... Which ties in nicely with when the bodywork was "updated"

Curiously the chassis number turns up it having left the factory with 7 major modifications according to calVIN  so heaven knows what it left the factory as ?
