My V8ised Lightweight

Took this off my Father in law in 2009. To cut a long story short, I wanted a V8 leafer, FIL needed space for a caravan, so I got it for no pounds. It had been stood outside for over 6 years and was a none-runner. There's no history with it as some PO has replaced the chassis (I suspect with one from a civvy) and completely bastardised everything about it
. Prior to FIL's ownership it had, apparently, been used for a pay n play day toy and everything mechanical was sound and all standard series with 5 bearing 2.25P. Which was quite a bummer, because I was about to mechanically modify it, but wanted a more standard 'Lightweight' look about the bodywork (the total opposite
). It's almost ready for the road now, with just a few minor jobs to sort.
So, over to the pics for the rest of the story:
