Vidal & Team Faff
I have been looking at your trips with great interest. May I say well done. I would be very interested to learn what equipment you used to capture / edit the footage.
A long time ago (2003) I video'd my trip on the Germans Alpine & White Wine road in an Audi TT. Still have the vehicle & it is lovely. However it is not as characterful as a Series. So hopefully the 1967 Dormi will do the trip as well at some point (with daughter (currently 3 & 3/4)).

I used a suction mount first time round for the camera. However I am very interested on how you obtained the scanning shots (usually as a cyclist I presume) passes the driver. Any information greatly appreciated!
Kindest regards
M

A few pics from our own euroleafing trip in 2013 - hope to repeat the (admittedly smaller than Team Faff's or the BBW Flying Squad's) exploit this summer:

Looking forward to go back to the land of picture-perfect postcard landscapes sh1

Hi, for Euromadness and El Faff I just used a Sanyo digi camcorder, only cost about £100 about 5 years ago. Things have moved on quite a bit in the last few years and prices have tumbled with loads of different types available for not a lot of money. I have since bought a cheap GoPro copy camera to add to my trusty Sanyo.
The only mount I used was a suction cup one which give great results, although now I have a few more mounts bolted around the Bus. These are ok but get wicked vibration and can be tricky to get good results from. To be honest I have erred towards more hand held shooting as this gives a more "freestyle" feel.
For editing I use Apples iMovie. Its quite a basic package compared with a lot of other suites out there but I like its no nonsense approach. I would like to upgrade to have a few more features but can't afford to do so at the mo.
This is my latest film when we did Lands End to John O Groats where I have started to use a few new techniques -

I have a few more ideas for a new video on a trip planned for the summer, keep a look out.
