Having had a menderising trip to Gossamers the weekend I decided to stick the roof rack back on ready for camping this weekend. First time it's been on since the Poland trip last year. Oh, plus O have wolf door tops now which are great! Even better since I swapped the rotten old felt for proper window channel

Done quite a bit today, got round to a few jobs that's been bugging me for a while. First off did a painting and got the blue out to do the green door tops and a few other bits that were looking a bit tatty.

Next I fitted a new gas ram to my rear door as the old one had been out of gas for years so a moderate gust would close the door which was annoying to say the least! It's a range rover classic tailgate strut

Finally I got around to replacing the carpets with some rubber checker plate sheet stuff I got cheap from Amazon, had enough for the load bed, the front floor panels and a bit left over for my tool box

As some of you who have been to the same events I have know, the 88" has always been a bit of a pig to start from cold with slow cranking. swapped the old starter for an old TDI starter from our old disco (not ideal but was an improvement), up until a month ago it's been fine vAnyway, I swapped the starter today as that was the issue

Am I right in thinking/remembering that you were going to go with a V8 at some point?
