  6 point turn would leave you going backwards.... so sounds about right  :D

More progress this weekend, with the grateful help of Adam and Chelsea too  wdesmle firstly wheels off and rear of the underside all cleaned up



Old axle removed one red oxide applied



Meanwhile the girls **** on with the painting whilst we did a bit of welding and checked and swapped the brakes over





Stoneguard added to the chassis and then axle in place



And front body temporally refitted again



Today headed down the road to the Bling fest, parked up and showed the majority they're doing it wrong  wdesmle



and came back with a few more bits  wdesmle

Not alot done today but got the rear hub seal done, redid the paint on the rear cross member and fitted the NATO hitch and trailer socket, but still need to wire it up though.

So today was the day the front diff got swapped for a 3:54 ratio one, so a while after stripping out both hubs, fitted new longer wheel studs at the same time so did't do the unbolt the complete swivel trick this time, this then happened!



Also new seals fitted to the hubs and then thought when refitting the brakes I thought I'd try moving round 1 hole to aid access to the brake cylinders in the future.



Once all refitted etc, quick clean up and paint of red oxide ready for Sara to add pink to match the rear axle!

So somehow I ended up painting the front axle pink  jwdrp



Still gotta bleed the bakes etc but after getting the hard top last weekend during Hallowleafers though I'd best get that swapped over in and place, firstly I had to take it off TET.



We did hope to keep the roll bar fitted on Batty Wagon, but it seemed a fair bit of chopping would of been in order so in the end this happened  wdesmle



Some new seals fitted and the spare windscreen to replace the one with the broken glass and ta da!!!!



And getting ready to have the bed in the fully I drilled through the corners of the rear storage lockers to cut out and make doors for later on

Fair old effort going into that. The new paint-job looks to be killing two birds with one stone, as it should also prove a highly effective anti-theft system - ingenious!

The paint job is purely Sara's choice, but like you say it might put the light fingered types off it lol
Fentiger very kindly gave us a rear door last week, just needed the skin taken off and  cut off the rear of the frame and weld in new parts after ordering from YRM that came late last week too  wdesmle







Ran out of cutting discs to properly put new repair sections in for the centre sections so just used some 5mm flat bar to brace it to the bottom instead.

Finished off the rear door today after doing Ralph's rear shocks. Marked and drill holes for crush tubes to be fitted firstly and held in place with a nut and bolt.



Welded, cut down and painted



Skin back on and sorted  wdesmle

Been a while as I'v been concentrating on getting Ralph sorted but hit a point where I cant do much more so we decided to have a weekend spent on Batty Wagon (even more so as we're booked in for Birmabright again this year and plan to take Batty Wagon) Fentiger very kindly popped round this morning and helped sort out the mess of wires that are in the engine bay, and connected some up and ripped some out and check away too  :Dancing-Chilli1group: also bleed and adjusted the brakes up, fit the missing bolts from the steering box, fitted new shock absorbers to the rear as well (how much of a pain is that bottom nut to get started!!!!  FRSsml ) Sara's done most the work on the body though, rubbing down, etch priming in places and getting the roof painted ready for the new roof rack to be fitted  onto  Banana

Bit more on Batty Wagon today, second coat of paint on the roof and on the new rims too





Also fitted the new upper seatbelt brackets inside as well and got the passenger side wing fitted as well  whoo

It's her truck so her colours  wdesmle Did a quick bit this morning before the rain came and I had to go out so Sara flipped the wheels over to paint the other side



Whilst I unpacked the Christmas present I got her and set about putting it all togther!





Glad I didn't bolt it up as I went along to start with  jwdrp





And now to wait for some help in a couple of days to help lift it in place (as Sara's too short lol  wdesmle )

Braved the cold for a bit today, cut away a bit more of the inner wing to clear the intercooler pipework, just need to make a new bit to refit now.





And then it was on with the new rims and tyres  :Dancing-Chilli1group:





And we replaced the rear door handle for the "OMGEBAYRARE" one so we can get out with the bed in place too.
