Update on Batty Wagon now things are settling down again, the brakes have never been the best so last weekend via Emma and Mike a series servo set up arrived and was duly fitted to replace the Defender one.
Starting point

Old servo and pedal box out

And series set up in place

Getting a good firm brake now but the pedal isn't springing back up so guessing I will have to strip out the pivot assembly at least.

The handbrake was the next item, I recently had some parts for TET blasted including some spare handbrake back plates and oil catchers so cleaned up some serviceable expanders and adjusters and dug out some shoes I put to one side to build up a new complete assembly to just bolt straight on.

Painted it all silver as it makes it easier to see for leaks etc, more in keeping with Batty Wagon and its the paint I had to hand too  whistle

Oil seal replaced and bolted up.

One issue we found last year was the legs for the rear tailgate only work on perfectly flat ground, and without us and the dogs in the back too, so the legs (and fold out dog ramp) have gone and chains installed instead.

Chains are now in old push bike inner tubes and tucked in behind the tailgate when driving to stop rattling and allow the reg plate to be seen too. Another job was running the antenna cable for the CB and Sara attaching her Gecko as well!

Can I combine 24 volts, 9.00's and an Tdi!!!!
