The engine rebuild continues, today I managed to remove the camshaft, take off the cylinder head and take out the pistons:

First order of the day was to remove the timing cover:

Once the timing cover had been removed I took off the timing chain and tensioner:

After quite a bit of fighting I managed to finally get the crank shaft out:

The conrod bearing shells:

With the crankshaft removed the next step was to take off the cylinder head. With the cylinder head removed the head gasket didn't look to bad, could possibly be the original:

Pistons 1 and 2:

Pistons 3 and 4:

One of the removed pistons:

One of the cylinder bores, itdoesn't look to bad to me:

The top few mm's aren't as worn as the rest of the cylinder I believe due to the piston rings not riding that far up:

The engine so far, not much left to take off now:

Next job is to check the crankshaft and cylinder bores for wear and see how much needs to be taken off.
