Icey's Wankey Narrowtrack
« on: January 13, 2014, 06:14:53 pm »
Well the combination of the "Walt bug" and needing to transport the 5 burner ex mod cooker ,and the rest of the guff that we need for a weekends Fun and games, had forced me to purchase a Sankey narrow track to live behind the (as yet un named 109 )

It was/is scruffy,un original,A bit rusty AND has a home made/butchered tailgate .....but most of all very cheap ........

In fact more "wankey" trailer than Sankey trailer ............
But a bit of tidying /wire brushing ,and the heavy application of "squaddie nato green" hopefully it will provide sterling service to both me and the catering corps

And yes i know it looks rough and that someone has chopped a tailgate into it ..........
BUT a bit of time and effort and its fairly  fit for service

AND after a bit of wire brushing (including killing a 4 1/2 grinder with a wire cup brush on it)
Well not too exciting or fantastic .........

But slightly less rusty ,and a lot less blue homomorite ......Fingers crossed that Nato green hides a multitude of sins

AND as it now looks ....ish

Ignore the "lump" under the cover(Very kindly bought for me for By Tracey  (twas the tables benches from LATP that my lazy arse self hadn't got round to returning to the dogs home )

It now has nato Bugeyes on the indicators AND will have stop and tails soon as the weather warms and i have the time ...

To be honest the tailgate is Never going to win any beauty competitions BUT It is quite useful as it helps loading the 5 burner in there (Bloody big lump of a thing is a 5 burner) AND lifting it up over the side soon lost its novelty lol

I did have tilt hoops and a "spare" 109" 3/4 tilt on it for a while ...looked well (IMHO) and was bloody useful ...BUT prefer the look with the Trailer Cover that Tracey bought me for my birthday  Banana Banana
