First time out
« on: January 17, 2017, 08:51:25 pm »
Ok may well end up in the festering pool of wrongness but here goes, After finally getting MOT last November and then deceiding that new diffs and front springs were required I got it back from my mates garage (ASV Tidworth) on Sat eve.

Sunday took it out on the Plain

After this looked like the alternator might be playing up, but then smashed the crank pulley into the axel and mashed the belt so back into ASV to have it repaired. total time out of the garage this year 23hrs.  brf

Sounds like you need some extended bump stops.

That's what I was thinking, don't suppose you have any part numbers / links for them as I can find the defener and disco ones but only standard for the Series.

Hi

Have just fitted the 200tdi snorkel I got for Xmas, whilst i know its more of a raised air intake than a real snorkel
Here is how it went together.

Windscreen bracket

Just needed slight bending in the vice to match the slope of the winscreen.
Then rivet in place

Wing hole

Snorkel hole

I covered the hole with a sheet of aluminium with a plastic pipe bracketed and sealed with sikaflex.

Plated

Then all fitted together
Fitted

Outside shots only as it got dark and started to rain before I got the engine bay pics. Will add these later.
