February- Photomotography competition Subject "Ohh F*ck"
« on: February 10, 2014, 07:25:22 pm »
Ok folks ...as we seem to be rolling along like a 2 1/4 petrol "On song"

I though it's maybe time we had a bit of a photography competition ...
I'm sure we are all familiar with the usual format ...However I have a "Bit" of a twist in mind

The competition will be based around a ONE word subject,Chosen by the winner of the previous months competion
Entries will reflect the subject matter (Directly OR cleverly laterally thought)

1.First. and foremost It's leafer based so NO Defenders/disgays/Jeeps/mitsishittys etc etc etc  you know the score

2. Competition will (Usually) start within the first week of the month ...no date set as I know folks have other stuff to deal with other than just forums (Well most folks do lol )

3. The Modmin will select 5 pictures for a poll to be posted in the last week of the month (Again no date to allow for folks "lives" )
4.The winner of that poll will then select the next months subject.

5. ONE picture submitted per person per month ...

6. Picture MUST be yours, AND have a leafer in it STRANG !!! No time frame for when it was taken .

7. No pinching pictures of google etc

Modmins choices will be final and sometimes brutal ...BUT I'm sure we can all be bribed lol ...

Depending HOW entries go (Fnarr ) We reserve the option to increase the final count to more than 5 poll subjects .

ALL monthly winners will go into a section in the "Landrover gallery" and we MAY have an end of year competition with a small prize for the over all winner

This months subject chosen by January's worthy winner Landyphil is "Ohh F*ck !!! "

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

This was a oh F*ck moment.
I'd buried it so deep it took 3 Land Rovers to pull it out backwards. Then someone pointed out my glorious leafsprings seemed to be missing.
They weren't missing but were at a very strange angle. The axles had been so stuck the pull had flipped the rear spring shackles over!
This is a wheel, honest and you can just see the very steep spring.

Also did this on the same weekend...

The Czech do had it's "Oh, ****!" moment in 2008, when one of the vehicles did a barrel roll on a field, proving that bumpy fields are not so GR8 4 driftin...

A slash across the driver's forehead and a bruised and shaken 13-year old daughter were the result, aside from a well-crumpled S2A 88" which ended up broken for parts...

A more detailed shot, not a submission, just showing better the reason for submission of the first one fp
1954 SI 86" V8 "Jekyll"
1960 SII 88" "Bernie"
1966 SIIA FC "Robur"
