Big, red and shiney
« on: March 31, 2015, 04:49:06 pm »
a pic of my nee-nahs for wavey and anyone else with a fire engine fetish to study.

The FC is rather unique being one of two built to order on Isle of Man for the fire service, the other is long gone so makes this one of a kind. Currently in need of some light recommisioning (brakes dont want to adjust/clutch hose) to put back on the road for this summer. Although I bet something else is buggered.

The 109 is ex mil 24v FFR conversion, emergency house then baker apv, and me. Its got lots and lots of lovely kit and a shiney shovel from homebase. Also a great plate for a fire appliance, RUA 999W. A top nursery run vehicle that makes me daddy cool amoungst the under 5's. Also suffering with clutch slave failure and severe water pump seapage. Not manned up enough to lie in the puddle underneath it this winter to fix. Roll on warmth and time.

I could really do with a neenaw here. I live in an area where fire is something we always worry about. The Dormobile is our escape vehicle.

Although an owner of an SIIA FC fire engine myself, I am not a big fan of fire engine conversions, just like the spacious rear body on mine. But this one really is cool, finally a designer that got real talent for smooth body shape.

Very, very, drooling-inducing cool 8)
