It's being a bit of an arse still - fairly rough idle at times and seems down on power. Any ideas? Gone through the entire fuel system, no noticeable leaks, no blockages, new lift pump and filter as above, plenty of diesel, just doesn't want to pull as well as it did and doesn't sound like it's boosting as hard.

Almost feels a bit soft compared to how it was a week a go  hsscd

Fixed it, think there was a slightly loose clip on one of the fuel lines.

Driving home today and it's lunched another UJ, this time on the front (only) prop. For **** sake...

Been spending some time restoring 80"s 'properly' recently nd it's reminded me of all the things I don't like about this one.

Today I took some sandpaper to it;

Thank the lord that the previous owner didn't bother painting it properly.
It's still going to look ratty, probably even rattier than before, but at least now it'll be patinated and rubbed through rather than covered in runs and flaky.

Sanded the whole lot down as far as i could, few remnants of the old (well, new) paint left but that'll rub through over time i'm sure.

Then started on the polish! Think i'll do my best by hand then send it for a proper cut and mop by someone who knows what they're doing.

I serviced it as well, figured 15,000 miles with a Britpart filter was probably pushing it.
