Morning folks,
here are some pics as promised.
The first three are of the chassis modifications, as you can see the original underslung crossmember has gone and I`ve made a pair side mounts also I`ve cut away a section from the bellhousing crossmember and put a piece of thick wall tube in it`s place for the front prop movement.

secondly I`ve modified a disc handbrake from Xeng, I removed the centre area of the mounting plate so as the caliper could fitted the opposite way around, this meant that one it fitted in the between gearbox and the crossmember behind the gearbox and also that the actuating lever could moved in the correct direction for using the series handbrake lever.

and finally you can see the modified defender bellhousing and transmission covers also the floor panels will be replaced at some point with something abit thicker.

Hey up folks,

Its been a while but a fair bit has happened in the in between times, namely its been quiet on the landy front due to myself and Beth purchasing, doing up and moving into our own house which is the best thing since sliced bread, no more paying rent and someone else`s mortgage.
Freda is going alright now I`ve replaced one of the inter-cooler hoses which split leaving her with substantial power loss, now climbs the hills around here in 3rd no problem.

The gearbox will want looking at, at some point due to the chucking reverse out and clutch growl but other than that its made her a far more easy to drive around here, and cruising around on the bigger road is comfortable now.

Freda also acquired a rather nice shiny bit in the shape of a 6t recovery winch, that was offered to me by a local garage, bit of a story behind it so grab a cuppa and a biscuit.

The winch was ordered through the garage and sent out the customer who promptly sent it back without opening it claiming it was faulty,
the garage opened it up, fitted it the front of their 110 and tested for a month, no problems found but then they couldn't sell it for full price due having opened and used it, so offered it to me for the pricely sum of 100.

I've just finished wiring it in, and test it at work tomorrow.

Cheers folks Chris.

That wont take long. I have to plan ahead.

I've been in the wardrobe in my spare room.

Narnia took me three months to fill.

I am now allergic to turkish delight.

Hey up folks,
not much to say other than the lt77 is quite rumbly at certain times, I have a spare which I`m going to collect from my folks place this weekend to commence rebuilding, I`ll try do a bit of a feature on here if folk are interested ?
other than that its been very nice around weather wise so I`ve had the door tops off just for the summery feel.
