well a quick roundup of today.....

took drivers swivel apart, water came out......, wheel bearing a bit ****. changed swivel seal used a used part i had in stock.

replaced front diff with the rr one.

stripped passenger side, halfshaft uj is ****, bearings are in the swivel so again used a in stock 2nd hand part. rest of the rebuild to do tmz.

Took to bastard long all of that so finishing tomorrow.  have made the pipes for the winch at work so might get them on tmz as well if i have time, then just some oil and fettling.

Oh and for the first time ever i have started using sae 90 the real stuff since ep90 eats the bronze in older stuff so im going to swap all my oils out. Only because i ordered a barrel of the stuff with the works oil order i get at cost. 20 litres cost less than 5 if you went to hellfrauds!

not happy with the tank and one thread is really odd and hard to seal. had to mess about with adaptors, 5/8 bsp down to 3/8 etc.

well winch is up and running, found the top bearing was solid so hydraulics were working fine. All rebuilt and working. I have been busy getting things ready for my house extension and other house things baby related so not done much else other than a quick change of a leaking  wheel cylinder. However i did buy myself a new inverter welder ready to do some chassis plating and door repairs!
Not made it to weird dale or anything else but I will be attending LATP on the saturday.
Looking to swap my front springs as they are a bit flat, the winch isnt that heavy, only got an inch gap on the bumpstops with or without winch and its a bit nose down at the mo.

Did some brake fettling yesterday as the pass front shoes were contaminated with brake fluid since a cylinder died. All new shoes on the front, the ones i bought were old stock and a hay colour, they squeak badly but stop really well.
I also stuck a new servo on and bloody hell i can skid no problems now, so that wasnt working since i ve had it. It was the harder you press the less brakes you have!
slowly getting through the major things list before the baby is born!  Chhrs

Well I spent about 12 hrs yesterday doing some rear chassis welding with my new inverter welder...ended up dropping the tank out to get to it all and spraying with retro seal.  Someone had patched over a previous hole without cutting it out with obvious results. Then changed my engine mounts for the proper softer rubber type not the cheap ones....funk me the vibration from the trip I very had in various lrs for many years is all but gone!!!
All nightmare jobs! So I very got through most major jobs now with 10 weeks till baby date! Still need to rebuild rear windows and various small jobs though.
