And, eventually, I find where everyone is!
« on: September 27, 2014, 12:58:32 pm »
Hi all. I was wondering why I seemed to be talking to myself!

Still, here I am. For those that don't know me, I live in Dover, (have moved from Canterbury), and my daily for the last couple of decades has been a 1959 109" which I put a Tdi in during the summer of 2007. Other projects include a 1966 Austin VA lorry, a 1953 BSA Bantam and a huge heap of Victorian house, which is a bit of a cross between "Grand Designs", "DIY SOS" and "You've Been Framed".

I will, if its wanted, migrate a couple of threads/topics over to here when I've time and I'm not on the phone.

All the best, Glen.

Good to have you back along Glen ...though it was a rather tortuous route we bumped into each other again lol .

Pretty much business as usual over here ....bit of new wall paper and a lick of paint ....Ohhh and we've hoovered up a bit too .

We'd love to see what you've been up to in the "Wilderness years" lol  Chhrs

Hiya Glen

I'm migrating here too. Seems I'm not welcome in the other place any more.

See you at Newbury?

Not been banned or ought, though that might yet happen. Been subjected to a bit of character assassination by some factions who feel that despite 15 years of membership I don't have the right to comment on how things are run and that I shouldn't be permitted to get further involved. Very personal, very messy, very petty. They won't even reply to my emails any more.

Quite frankly DILLIGAF.

Hi Eric, good to hear from you as always.

Can't make Newbury I'm afraid, too much on at home, and at work today late, and monday early, so no time to prepare and no leeway if anything unforeseen crops up.

Newbury is a fair punch for me too, so I tend to only go once every couple of years. That said, I plan a major clear-out next year, so maybe in the spring?

As to forums and clubs... Well, I find that my tolerance for them all waxes and wanes. I'm spreading myself a little further these days in an effort to get help and info on my lorry project, so the politics of certain other places largely pass me by.

Move on and move up is what I say!
