You're only too late if the tide comes in before you've crossed! :D

Do we need to book before turning up? Tim
Good question, can't see an answer? 🤔

I'll admit I haven't booked yet.
I had better have a go tomorrow.
I'll be paddling and exploring the sand dunes.
All the right bits, but not necessarily in the right order.

You don't need to book, just pay on the day. Does anyone know if the usual area we stay is open or are we going for somewhere different this year?

The usual area is now cordoned off with rocks / logs, we'll have to look for somewhere else a bit closer to a toilet perhaps (see earlier posts)

Perhaps I'm hitting unprecedented levels of organisation here, but how about the area in blue if it is available and not a bog?

the usual area is in red.

Looks cool if we can get to it.
101 Mick and Paula may have another suggestion and might post a photo thing.
I have to rely on the 110 due to issues with the ambo but that now seems to have gearbox trouble.
I'll have to have a look at it and see if it passes the MOT on Wednesday. No pressure.

After hammering around under the 110 it's looking like a 30% chance of MOT.

Anybody going to shell island have some crimpers that can do battery/ winch cables that they could bring along so I can crimp my last cable reqd to sort out my winch.

Cheers

Yeah i've got a nice set of hydraulic crimpers for electrical crimps, I'll make a note to bring them along!

I goy my MOT with advosries by Tolstoy.
Mostly drive train stuff.
I thought I'd do the propshaft UJs this afternoon.
I bought both types on the way home, just to be sure.
My front UJ takes the other type, the yokes are really wide, handy for getting a 9/16 or 14mm spanner in.
I found a spare prop that looked about right and attempted to put that on, I wish I hadn't bothered.
I'll try again tomorrow when it's stopped raining and I've stopped swearing.
The rear prop can carry on rumbling, it may be diff lock for the trip with the front porp off.
All the right bits, but not necessarily in the right order.

It's falling into place.
I  have 95mm ujs and the propshaft may be from a TD5
