Series 2 Club International, 4-7 August 2016
« on: May 23, 2016, 07:07:33 pm »
It might have been posted on here before, but this year, the Series 2 International is 'open' to non-members.  It looks like a great camping venue and for the lanes around the Cumbrian/Scotish border.

More details including booking on the rally Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/Series-2-Club-Rally-Kirklinton-2016-269983120008234/?ref=ts&fref=ts

to quote Wittsend (webmaster),

"You don't need to be a Club member, but obviously we'd like people to join the club and reap the benefits of club membership, not least the 4 issues of our club magazine, Built Two last along with various discounts and offers from suppliers/traders."

And

"The Board have agreed that you don't need to be a member to book into the Rally.

Obviously we'd like people to join the club, but equally we can invite "guest" members and show that we are nice friendly people and we don't bite."

You don't need an S2 or 2A to go, or even be a member   wdesmle

There are plenty of members with S3 or even no Land Rovers - you'll even find folk turning up at the International do in euroboxes towing road maggots   Skd

I kind of missed this as I was busy organising the event!  We had about 62 units turn up for what turned out to be a cracking weekend.  It was open to non-members, not because we were worried about turnout but because times have changed and most of us are pretty relaxed about these things (especially this far up north were we couldn't give a damn about cliques and history).  Hopefully we will do something similar in the future as the venue was top, maybe 'leafers at the ruin'...

I've only been to a couple of these, but the event in Cumbria was superb. Nice people from all over, in some great Landies. Off-reading in Lockerbie and the borders was fantastic.
