I was just going to turn up: I spoke to a dude who lives nearby who happened to visit work, and he said just turn up as the owners are chilled out :S

.. maybe i'll call the campsite too, lol

Tom, do we need to tell the campsite that there will be few of us and we would like to camp together?

NB we're aiming to get there by mid-afternoon

It looks as though I’ll not be able to make this one guys. Buddy still needs a good beating to get him in shape before I take the wretched ungrateful piece of tat to Poland next month.

Hi Paula and Mick,

Just called the campsite, they said no need to book as a group just turn up  ;D

An official 'rally' is 10 or more vehicles but they said not to worry, just turn up.

Chloe and I will be there earlier in the week, maybe tuesday or wednesday. My mother is coming along too lol, in her mazda bongo!

Not long now folks!

Just a quick note - seeing as though the whole country is as dry as a tinderbox at the moment and also boiling, I'm leaving the firepit at home.

A local rugby pitch caught fire yesterday! so I don't want the same happening to the campsite...  ???

I'm still bringing my lantern filled with unleaded petrol though. lol

Hi all me and Chloe are here a bit early (!), Site is great, ground is very hard so bring nails/a drill or something if you've got a tent! Lol. Fires are banned but BBQ is fine woohoo! We're in a quiet corner of the field so there should be room for people on the weekend etc. Cheers.

Also! (Sorry), the man at the front desk advised that it may be busy on the weekend so booking online will guarantee you a space!

Back from a great weekend, Land Rover attendance records can definitely be smashed next year as it was only us there - despite our calling sign visible for miles around:

(we popped out on friday so left a spare wheel behind in case people were looking for us!)

Clearwell Caves - an old natural cave / iron ore mine - definitely worth a visit as there's loads of scrap old things in the car park, and an old belt driven lathe which you can twirl / move, trapping your fingers in. It's an injury claim lawyers dream come true!

The camp site was alright, quite civilised compared to shell island lol. It didn't half fill up on friday afternoon though! Not to mention the hour long thunderstorm as people were putting their tents up :O

Camp site is in the middle of a forest, we saw deer and heard wild boar! all was quite cool. We'll be going back there in the Autumn i think when all the screaming brats are back in school, cheers  Celbrt

No worries at all! If you can make it, great, if not then the world isn't going to stop turning :D

Mick and paula got the closest but had to turn back due to a few technical difficulties i think!
