YES it will be expensive in fuel

YES it will be expensive (relatively) in ferry costs

BUT......

Wild camping with a leafer in the middle of nowhere is bloody EPIC..... Basic but EPIC.

bloody great sense of both camaraderie and achievement.
The views etc last year were just stunning and the folks we met along the way brilliant.

I cannot bloody wait  wdesmle

Started saving too, can't wait. Be expensive in the old 2.25 diesel but going to be worth it.

This is shaping up to be an fantastic trip Ian, its going to be amazing no doubt! whoo
If you don't want tourists getting in your JOG pics, just turn up there at around 3 in the morning, turns out its pretty quiet then also you can see the lights on Orkney from there.

With a pile of Tdi powered series there I reckon the "tourists" will be running for the hills ......

Just wish we had an epic cameraman along for an epic trip  whstle

You know I would LOVE to come! But the month before we have a little trip to the seaside that may take most of my money/work leave/sanity etc…
I will be keeping an eye on this though as it will be one of the great trips to do!

To be fair mate..... I reckon he understated just how evil they are.....

First nights camp at Loch Doon last year....

Pitch camp
Light fire
Get annoyed with midges
Learn that **** all deters them
Drink alcohol to numb annoyance
Go to bed to escape them
Wake up at 3 in morning for pee
Stand outside tent in boxer shorts and wonder why you put black jeans on
..

Realise that black jeans ARE actually midge covered legs..... Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhh.

Might be worth asking IF anyone has a spare seat in return for sharing fuel costs IF you fancy joining us.
