I think the main 'event' will be West coast/Highlands oriented with ardnumurchan and close by  the main target for this 'sortie' .

Just looking at Isles etc....
£90ish return over to Islay based on being over there for two days ish.... More distilleries than you can wave a dram at...
Stunning scenery (including Jura's paps pfnarr)
And wild camping available....
I know it's not cheap BUT it's something I've wanted to experience in a Landy for a long long time.

Tour of The Lagavulin distillery is £15 a head.... Including apparantly a free whisky glass.

We are easy on dates Em ....

Happy to fit in with the bulk of other folks ...
I know that were not going to be able to fit in with everyone BUT it'd be nice to get as many folks along as possible

If folks can post the dates round June/July that they CAN do and well go from there ....

Ideally Friday to Monday to give us two long weekends with a week inbetween  spdydnc

Don't turn up late and camp in the wrong place at that camp site....the lady of the farm will tear your balls off!!

...but its right on a mile long beach, and if the weather is passable  its a cracking place to stay.  Take a push bike and cycle down to Port Ellen and get tanked!!

My advice is don't book anything.  Go to Islay on a good forecast.
Apparently a dull, bog standard DBG 88'' ......with only two headlights. The shame!!

Its not too difficult to have an alternative arrangement, the weather is so variable up the west coast.   Getting to Oban isn't to bad, if you have to get the ferry from Kennacraig then its fair shack down there from Oban.

On the easiest way to Oban, you'll go through Tyndrum; left to Oban or right to Fort William. The latter takes you through Glen Coe which is fantastic, hang a left at Glen Orchy for wild camping and then back onto the main road to FW.  You could then tramp up to Mallaig, short ferry to Skye; ace camp site at the head of Dunvegan Loch ( the castle isn't to bad either - the clan MacLeod) ....bridge back over and onward ........plockton...applecross........

if you go to Islay, you might all not want to come back!!  ;D

^^^^ I'm a bit further south -near Callander - and as I've offered before, a bit of space for wild camping and a rather large Forest just out the back.... .

Any dates from 16th June onwards. If we could avoid 2nd July, preferred, but not essential. Thanks for organising.
