Date - from Friday lunchtime May 23rd to Sunday 25th
(Optionally you can stay for the Sunday night and travel home on the bank holiday Monday)

Location - Avalanche Adventures, Sibbertoft. Near Market Harborough  LE16 9UJ

This is a chaotic laugh of leafers weekend that we have somehow managed to organise for the past 5 years. It's normally advertised on the Series 2 Club forum but since you lot seem daft enough I thought I would invite you too!
It's not a Series 2 Club event, just something that was thrown together by us lot in the Thames Valley area wanting to have a dirty weekend especially since the National rallies stopped having off road courses.

Anyway, somehow the Sibbertoft Dirty Weekend of Camping, Off Roading and general messing about in a big field has reached it's 6th Year!

If you have never been to an off road pay and play quarry off road type place this is the weekend to try it.
There is plenty of space and it's a Leafers only weekend so no boingy nutters tearing around!
Nice gentle routes round the course edge to stretch out your springs or big muddy holes to bury your Series into.

Here's some of the off road area and the camping is right beside it for easy spectating.

Cost - £45 for two days pay and play and two nights camping. Sunday night camping would be extra £5
(I'll be nagging for deposits nearer the time as I need a little financial security for this non profit event)
Day trips would be £20 but I'd really recommend camping as the evenings round the fire are excellent.

If you are interested please post on here so I can see if we're going to have enough interest.

 :cheers

Do you have a price for camping but not to use the coarse?

No, but I'll work something out  wdesmle
One guy did that last year so it's not a problem. I'll just have to remember what he paid.
What I need is to see how many people want to come. I don't want to make a profit out of the weekend, it's just a get together for a laugh, but at the same time I can't afford to pay for the whole site on my own!
Does that make any sense?!

Mark

p.s. We all stand back when Pete's got wood...

T'was a cracking weekend. Banana
I didn't take many pics but here's a few I took...

After 5 minutes in the course!

Saw some cool clouds/weather over the weekend

A spontaneous gathering in the pit...

Big Ears on the high road...

Dylan on the low road - Dylan is 15 and owns a leafer. He must have covered about 100 miles round the course during the weekend

The Tonka toy up top...

Where are we going?

We got the old tractor wheel glowing again.

Big Ears in a puddle.

It's a basic weekend of simple pleasures and I love it!

Same again next year?

Mark
