Where is this guys?

I might be able to drag Buddy along if it's within an hour or so from me.

Guys, I had an absolutely fantastic weekend which is good considering I don't think I'm going to be out again for a long time.

Buddy technically got me home but didn't quite manage to make it onto the drive.

As you guys may have heard, I was finding it more and more difficult to engage reverse, 1st and second.. Well this was becoming an ever harder challenge the closer I got to home. I could just about cope with the increasing black smoke and diminishing amounts of power but Buddy finally died at 14:07 outside the gates of home.

Trying to engage reverse resulted in the lever shearing off and despite full throttle the engine runs like a bag of nails. Thank the lucky stars that the neighbour helped push it onto the drive and into the back yard. It could have been worse I suppose, at least I didn't need the Big Yellow Taxi.

Dougy, I think I'm gonna have to come up and root through your endless sheds in search for parts. 😱

Hopefully the gear box is just the grub screw that keeps the gear stick in place in the alloy housing holding the ball if that comes loose gear selection becomes difficult and stick ends up snapping.
Black smoke could be head gasket failure.

New lever ordered. Don't even want to go near it today for fear of crying. But il check that grub screw. Thanks.  I did the head gasket not so long ago. I don't want to be doing that again. Simple enough but such a ball ache. Here's hoping I make T'pit.
