We've now got a mention on the NCM'S website AND events calender

http://www.ncm.org.uk/what's-on/2014/07/29/land-rover-rally

I've also managed to negotiate the opening of the "Snap tin" the small cafe up near to the show ground... For folks to grab a brew/sandwich etc.

No - its true I tell you! in fact, we had an irate woman in a car, who had come from Newcastle I think, berating us at the gate, because we didn't know where the Daleks were, and we thought she was winding us up!

It IS actually true ....well sort of ....

The rather irate family were pretty vocal in a Geordie accent about "Where the Fook is the Fooking Daaaleks Lyke "
Met with puzzled looks all round they pretty soon "Fooked" of home (Probably to watch an episode of When the boat comes in)

Fast forward a couple of hours or so to a rather odd looking chap (Yes even at T'pit) arriving in a battered none descript estate car ....opening the tailgate and laying a blanket on the tarmac before placing a Daleks Heed on it .

Honest I saw it all with my own eyes  Chhrs

This bit is very true, as some young kid had seen the dis-assembled Dalek in the back of the car, thought it was 'dead' and promptly burst into tears.

The whole episode would have made some great photo's with 'series' Land Rovers saving the world, but it really was a photo opportunity missed......
