KUH is somewhere you pass through, never stop!

Actually ...I'm going to disagree on this ...KOH is actually a pretty decent place (Having worked/lived over there for a good few years )
It's got a rich history particularly the "Old town"
William Wilberforce's house (He pretty much orchestrated the abolition of slavery)
The proud remains of a very affluent architecture
The deep (Sort of sealife center)
Some impressive modern architecture
Fort Paull (Not sure IF they still have the "Blackburn Beverly" plane there
Worth a trip across the Humber suspension bridge ...WHILE it's still standing

The people are by and large some of the friendliest ive met ....

My experience is that most of the indigenous natives are chavvy knobheads. That said, I used to live South of the River, and it's a "Them and Us" situation.
Bollocks to the lot of you.

Actually ...thinking about it ...there used to be a set of Victorian public conveniences on the river front that had Goldfish in the cisterns ...

Probably closed now to prevent "importuning" (Google it and half of Wham will probably be there )

"Hull is also exemplary in public toilets. I know this does not sound complimentary, but three of the City’s public facilities are extraordinary. One sat under Lowgate – only for men – used to have goldfish in the toilet glass cisterns."

Is there a campsite nearby that people are converging on?
Thinking of dragging the maggot over.

I "may" be able to have a word with the chap running the camping and fit you in on site....  whstle
Only toilets and washing facilities on site though no showers or hook up.

I will have a word with SWMBO.
I was planning on coming from the angle of "If we can go to leafers on Saturday, we can camp nearby and on the Sunday we can go to blank/go shopping/talk about our feelings" (delete as appropriate)

But you never know she may be up for the full weekend.
Only one way to find out...

Gave her a quick call at lunch and she sounds up for it.
Will double check ( and triple check) tonight after I have bought her a pint or two and confirm  ;)
I must be on to a winner mind, posh hotel tonight and a day out at Goathland tomorrow.

To be honest Stuart ....The Mrs will probably have a blast ....We left behind the days of a men only gig with folks sat around counting rivets a long long time back,
I've always made a point of LATP being a family type show (Ok some of us perhaps swear a little when we've had a beer or several in the evening  Chhrs)
With the number of other halves attending both LATP AND the other events we organise through the year steadily growing ...It makes for a very pleasant and diverse social event as well as a great opportunity to make new friends as well as catch up with old ones too .
