LATP Beer......
« on: July 22, 2015, 09:36:34 am »
As usual I should be bringing  a 72 pint from Greenfield Brewery.... For the traditional charity donation per pint...

Any one else bringing some liquid mental distortion?

Depending on space and ambulance registration, I could enquire after a barrel of Tower IPA or Bitter from Burton.
I cannot afford to donate it though.
All the right bits, but not necessarily in the right order.

The way the ones that "usually"  bring the ale work it is to cover the cost of the barrel then the rest taken goes into the donation total for the NCM....

A 72 pint barrel of "Greenfield/Dobcross"  usually costs me @£80 and we traditionally ask for  £2 a pint so usually a rough total of £140
£80 pays for the barrel leaving a nice £60 donation to T'pit...

We usually get through 4 barrels over the weekend ;-)

If i can sort it,  would folks prefer a bitter at 3.8 or an ipa at 5?

Since you asked, I prefer a lower strength session beer.....

As the instigator of this custom, and owner of the original Tailgate Arms, I must register the need for decent Yorkshire Ale. This Lancashire and Burton **** has it's place (on Friday or Monday when I am not there) , but proper yorkshire ale is a must.

So, either Nook or Empire can (and should) be on the menu. As gaffer, I will look to Icey for guidance on quantity.

I shall be arriving on Saturday.

Any thoughts Ian?
