Title: PCH is open!

Drove down to the other end of Malibu yesterday just after the heavens had opened:

North of here, the road has been closed for nearly 3 months due to rock slides. The road opened on Friday, then closed again on Sunday due to more rain and a mud slide.

A lovely road to drive   wdesmle

I got stopped for speeding on it though - just sailed by a parked cruiser at 55 thinking that was the limit  -  I'd missed a 45mph sign and we were the only car on the road going that way   rbchn

Officer was very nice when he realised we were UK tourists and said he realised I couldn't have known it was a 45 limit as I didn't brake as I went by him - just asked me to be more careful about looking for posted limits   wdesmle
