The Three Stags head is my fave pub in the whole world. It's out of the ark, real ales, folk sitting around playing music, lots of pictures of long dogs on the walls, the occaisonal long dog nicking your grub, real fires, wonderful food - oh and Britains most inhospitable Land Lord (he dosn't like lager drinkers or townies and hates mobile phones). I love Jeff - he's ace!!
Fortunaltely there's a campsite next door (tho dosn't take maggots) and a good caff over the road. It's also in the middle of some good lanes.
If anyone's interested I sort something more concrete out nearer the time.

Do you mean the cat in the case by the fire? If so then yes.

Have we got a couple of spare spaces on this for the nice series owning folks we met at Staithes over Xmas ...????
Spoke to them today and they would possibly like to join us (They are only in Burton on Trent so not too far away from the Peaks) Nice couple and love series motors .

Reckon it'd be ace IF we could just block book it... So no worries about pizzing anyone else off with post pub banter lol....
Might be worth checking IF fire baskets are allowed too.

-
Can I have the post code for the camp site. Thanks
-
Not sure of the postcode Adam. Its on the A623.
Out of Chesterfield on the 619 towards the hilly bits (Chatsworth/Baslow)
When you get to Baslow follow the A623.
Through Calver, Stoney Middleton. Past the turning for Eyam.
When you start to drop back down look for an old petrol station on the left with the Yonderman café behind it. You are now opposite the turning for the camp site, hopefully there will be some tents there.
-
Thanks, should find it.
-
Just to point you in the right direction .....
